I was on a nature adventure a week or so ago and found an abandoned quarry...I also had my camera. Here are the results
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that christ's power may rest on me. That is why for christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Guac and kittys =]
Hi everyone! Here are a few more random pics from my birthday/fathers day. My sister, Steph is preggo! My brother, Tim, on the left in his Dead Mouse shirt (hellz yea) And my other brother, Matt on the right wearing his fathers day shirt, so cute! =] gotta love em all <3
So today my friend, Lindsay, introduced me to the best thing ever! Homemade Guacamole =D She made it and had me eat Tostitos hint of lime chips. I swear it's the best combination ever...better than peanut butter and jelly...seriously. Here's the recipe just in case you would like to experience the awesomeness
Ingredients
- 4 ripe Haas avocados
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (1 lemon)
- 8 dashes hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 cup small-diced red onion (1 small onion)
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 medium tomato, seeded, and small-diced
Directions
Cut the avocados in 1/2, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh out of their shells into a large bowl. (I use my hands.) Immediately add the lemon juice, hot pepper sauce, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper and toss well. Using a sharp knife, slice through the avocados in the bowl until they are finely diced. Add the tomatoes. Mix well and taste for salt and pepper. Let me know if you try it!
I love my brothers cat, she's so silly. She's named Zarrah. Her and I are on a diet together and I think she thinks we are bonding or something haha I was sitting filling out applications when she came over and just plopped down on my writing hand. After that there was no moving her. She fell asleep...or was pretending, I'm not quite sure really. I think she was just trying to be extra cute so I would giver her more food lol I got some silly pics and came to the conclusion her ears are definitely too big for her head, but they look totally awesome anyway. Cats can be so funny, tell me some good cat stories!

BIRTHDAY!!
![]() |
So yesterday was my 19th birthday! HOW EXCITING! haha only not really cause turning 19 doesn't really mean too much. I did however get my septum pierced which actually was exciting. I also wore a polka dot dress for about 24 hours straight that I got a while ago and was saving for my birthday. The most awesome thing ever happened at exactly midnight when my brother, Tim, and his girlfriend, Lindsay, gave me a Canon Rebel. =] I have a film SLR but they gots me hooked up with a digital woot woot! Now I has twinz! Check the newest addition to my family, my nephew Preston..he’s too cute.
We all got together for fathers day at my sisters house and ate great nomnoms, played guitar, my dad fell through a swing and yea it was awesome. My boyfriend came over and it was our first time seeing each other all week! ahhh! he gave me a really cool purple glassy looking rock he found and breaking bad season 3 on dvd!
We went to eat at Carraba's and it was delicious. They sang to me in Italian which i thought was def cool. We like taking pics. I'm going to be posting photos taken at a really cool quarry soon so keep a look out for those! they will be for sale as well =]
Peace and Love,
Ashley

Why OWLS?
The question should really be, why NOT owls? They symbolize stillness, relaxation, observation, knowledge, and sharp powers of judgement. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a pretty perfect way to live, not to mention BAMF! No but really who wouldn't want to be able to turn their head around 270 degrees, have the nocturnal ability to see well in the dark, while silently observing their prey before going in for the kill? Owls, to me, symbolize the world of nature and and how to accept the beauty of it. They just sit and take in the world around them. Basically this photo sums it up, I just wanna roll around in nature.
